About Kelsey Caron, SLP

Kelsey knew from a young age that she wanted a career centered around helping others. While in high school, she had the opportunity to shadow a fellow speech-language pathologist at a local outpatient therapy clinic. During that experience, she witnessed firsthand how speech therapy helped a patient regain language and communication skills after suffering a stroke. As someone who loved to talk herself, Kelsey realized that helping others communicate more effectively was exactly what she was meant to do.

During graduate school, Kelsey developed a strong passion for neuroscience and the ways different areas of the brain influence higher-level functioning and language abilities. She was fortunate to complete one of her graduate externships at TIRR Memorial Hermann, one of the nation’s top-ranked brain injury rehabilitation facilities.

After earning her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Kelsey began her career at an outpatient clinic where she worked with both pediatric and adult patients. She enjoyed seeing how her education equipped her to support individuals across the lifespan with a wide range of speech and language challenges. Kelsey helped young children build foundational speech and language skills while also assisting adults in regaining communication abilities impacted by various disorders.

Since then, Kelsey has returned to her hometown, where she has continued serving patients in home health, hospital, and school settings. Kelsey loves seeing the positive impact she can make in the lives of her patients. Whether helping a child develop confidence in their communication skills or supporting an adult as they regain language and independence, she is passionate about building meaningful connections and celebrating each patient’s progress along the way.
