About Miranda Fawcett, PTA

Miranda’s interest in the field of physical therapy began in high school when contemplating her future and career path. Miranda’s mother, who was a special education teacher, had witnessed some of her students receiving physical therapy and was the one who proposed the idea to Miranda about going into the field. By the time Miranda graduated high school, she had decided to apply to a Physical Therapist Assistant program. Physical therapy was the perfect blend of science, an interactive work environment, and a way to help people. Miranda attended Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas and graduated with an Associate Degree in Applied Science for Physical Therapist Assistant in 2007. In July of 2007, Miranda took and passed her licensure exam and started working at a local physical therapy outpatient clinic where she could see a variety of diagnosis. She treated neurological and orthopedic injuries and had the opportunity to learn from very knowledgeable therapists. Miranda now has close to 10 years of experience in the field both in the outpatient setting as well as some in home health. Miranda enjoys helping patients reach their goals and improve their quality of life. She desires to make the patient’s physical therapy experience as enjoyable as it can be!
